Who'll help you
appoint an
Enduring Guardian?
We will.
Everyday there are people who, due to illness, accident or other events, lose their ability to make decisions for themselves. This may be because they lose mental capacity or because thay are unable to communicate and tell us what they want.
Generally,
if a person loses the ability to make their own decisions, care and management
is assumed by others (family, friends and community services). Such arrangements
usually work well. However, many of us want to make sure that people caring
for us know what we consider to be important, and the personal choices
we would make for ourselves, such as where we want to live. We would appoint
an Enduring Guardian to achieve this.
